Marvel Comics

Cost - Free
Can download hundreds of your favourite comics, such as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine. You can choose to read with an animated view through the comic, or manually go through and zoom in on your favourite pages and artwork.
Alice for the iPad

Cost - $8.99 (lite version is free)
You can interact with the characters by tilting your iPad and making Alice grow big or shrink, throw tarts at the Queen of Hearts, and more. Includes fully animated scenes with images that come to life.


Transformers Comics

Cost - Free
The app comes with 3 free comics and you can download others for a fee. Can view as a full page, half page, or custom crafted panals. You can zoom in on the illustrations.

Blio

Cost - Free
Books in Blio can be read yourself or have a text to speech function. Can highlight words and look up any unfamiliar words. You can choose to read in single page mode, dual page, flowed view, or speed reading view. Support for the visually impaired and those with reading disabilities.

Reading Machine

Cost - $1.99
Students can spend more time reading without getting stuck and frustrated on words. When they come to a word they don't know, they type it into read machine. The app doesn't just tell them the word, it sounds it out and shows them how the letters and sounds go together so they can try it themselves. Great for early or struggling readers.

Ave!comics

Cost - $0.99
Browse through the comic shop where you can buy comics and graphic novels. A revolutionary reading experience that uses kinematics to create an animated journey through the stories. Besides your favourite comics, there are many classic novels transformed into graphic novels such as Huckleberry Finn and Alice in Wonderland. Great for students who find the full novel versions too intimidating or difficult to read or understand.
